The latest edition of the children’s magazine Anorak is on sale now and features an article about astronomy that was written by EU Universe Awareness (EU-UNAWE). This is the second EU-UNAWE article to be published in Anorak.
The theme for this issue is ‘Food Glorious Food’, so the EU-UNAWE article uses various fruits, vegetables and grains to introduce children to the scale of our Solar System. For example, a grapefruit is used to represent the planetary behemoth Jupiter, a plum for Neptune and couscous for the members of the Asteroid Belt.
Anorak is a quarterly publication that launched in autumn 2006. The magazine’s stylish and clever illustrations are gender neutral and appeal to kids from a wide age group (6 to 12 years old). The English version of the magazine is stocked in many countries around the world and it is also available to buy online. The magazine is now also published in French and German.
With the magazine’s tagline of “The Happy Magazine for Kids”, Anorak perfectly aligns with EU-UNAWE’s philosophy that learning should be fun. You can expect to see more features by EU-UNAWE in future issues of the magazine.
