Chandra X-ray Observatory, the NASA's mission for X-ray astronomy, has developed STOP for Science, a simple and flexible science enrichment programme aimed at raising questions about science topics that capture student interest.
Created through the combined efforts of an astrophysicist and an elementary school teacher, STOP for Science displays science questions of level-selected topics to provide broad exposure to familiar yet intriguing science themes. The programme is organised in series of posters that can be linked to the classrooms through the use of teacher's resources.
In collaboration with the UNAWE, Chandra has distributed a set of posters and educational material to all the 36 UNAWE National Programes. You can request STOP for Science posters here.
