The Wetenschapsweekend is held every October during ‘Kennismaand’ (Month of Knowledge), in which various research facilities, science centres and universities open their doors to the public.
For the event at at the Old Observatory in Leiden, EU-UNAWE has produced a special short version of its popular Deadly Moons workshop, which children are welcome to join at any point throughout the session (12:00-16:00). There will be many other activities taking place at the Old Observatory suitable for all ages, so bring the whole family and check it out!
This is also the perfect opportunity for locals to visit the renovated Old Observatory, which has been closed for the past three years.
