The European Commission is organising a drawing competition about space and astronautics, called The Galileo Drawing Competition. The winners will have a Galileo Programme satellite named after them and see it being launched into space!
To take part in this competition, children must be aged 9 to 11 and live in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union. Participants are invited to use their imagination as much as they can and create an image that represents space and astronautics. All sort of materials and technique are allowed, but an image of the entry needs to be submitted.
The winner, one per EU Member State, will be selected by a National Jury Panel and will be announced at the awards ceremony. Every winner will receive a certificate and a trophy representing the satellite that will have the national winner’s name.
Make your child's dream come true and take part in this competition no later than 15 November 2011.
