Astronomy teacher training event in the United Kingdom

On Saturday 10 September, the British Association for Astronomy Education will be holding a FREE teacher training event at the World Museum in Liverpool, England. The session will include hands-on workshops that range in topics from spectroscopy and physics for primary school children to how to get the most out of robotic telescopes. Dr Andy Newsam, Director of the National Schools Observatory will be giving an informational lecture, and all interested teachers will get a chance to see a show in one of England’s leading planetaria. 

This event will run alongside the annual Conference of the British Association of Planetaria, and is supported by the European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) and the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS). For more information about the event, contact president@planetaria.org.uk
