ESO Educational and Public Outreach Resources
28 July 2011

As one of the world’s most premiere ground-based observatories, the European Southern Observatory (ESO) not only provides excellent scientific information, but also offers educational and outreach resources for the general public. To ensure that these materials are readily available, ESO’s Education and Public Outreach Department (ePOD) is now providing regular newsletters for interested participants.

The ESO Outreach Community Newsletter is particularly useful for teachers and outreach enthusiasts, as it provides the latest educational products, resources, news and updates. This monthly newsletter includes:

- News and updates from CAPjournal and Science in School;

-  Activities and resources for children and teachers such as the SpaceScoop (contributed by the EU-UNAWE team!), virtual tours, live web cams from the ESO telescopes and iPad applications;

-  A calendar with upcoming events such as the CAP2011 conference in Beijing, China, and the Open House Day at ESO Headquarters in Garching, Germany;

-  Information from ESO’s science outreach networks, partner organisations and photo ambassadors;

-  Updates about ESO’s website such as sub-sites in other languages, astronomy communication resources page, and more!

Other available newsletters:
