UNAWE Belgium has teamed up with MAMEMO to produce a children's DVD of cartoons called "Capable tout seul! d'être dans la lune ...". The cartoon characters go on adventures out of this world accompanied by great astronomical songs by MAMEMO.
MAMEMO is a reference in children's cartoons in Belgium. The UNAWE Belgium team is led by Sophie van Eck, astronomer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, with members from Brussels planetarium and the Clés pour l'univers foundation, which brings astronomy to people in confinement (hospitals, prisons, etc.)
UNAWE Belgium benefited from the support of the Lions Club Bruxelles-Sablons, whose fundraising made possible the production of 1500 DVDs to be distributed to primary schools in disadvantaged areas of the country.
