Combining the expertise and resources of members from all UNAWE national nodes creates a project which, as a whole, is so much more than the sum of its parts. Evaluation through detailed reflection is an essential step in developing and improving resources, activities and teacher-training workshops. By each evaluating our own activities we provide a source of learning that can help progress and improve future projects across the entire UNAWE network.
Resources have been developed to help National Programmes evaluate the impact of their UNAWE activities on the intended target group of teachers or students. The materials explain step-by-step how to collect and display evidence and how demonstrate the impact of an activity.
The UNAWE Evaluation Guide focuses on summative evaluating; stating the impacts of activities on the target group and helping to plan for future UNAWE events. We understand that incorporating evaluation can be difficult when implementing activities with groups of children or teachers and we try to make it as easy as possible. Ways of gathering summative information with the UNAWE resources are divided by target group and time available, and include:
These resources are available for use by entire UNAWE network. If you have any questions on how to use the material, please get in touch.
